QR code reader
Read a QR code from a PNG, JPEG or WebP image, or a camera started by a click. Local analysis displays the content before you choose whether to open a URL.
Import a local image or start the camera to read a QR code. Review the result before copying it or opening an address.

Wi-Fi content is hidden because it may include a password.
Review the content and ASCII domain before opening. HTTPS does not guarantee that a site is safe.

Read a QR code with care
Import an image
Choose or drop a PNG, JPEG or WebP image. SVG, GIF and PDF are rejected. Limits: 10 MiB and 40 megapixels before resizing to 1,024 px. One QR code is sought; blurred, small or partly hidden codes may be unreadable.
Use the camera
Choose Camera then Start. HTTPS and your permission are required. The rear camera is preferred; Change camera is available if several devices are exposed. Stop, mode changes, hiding and leaving release all tracks; click Start again after interruption. No audio or recording.
Check the result
Text is displayed without execution. Full URLs are shown; only HTTP/HTTPS addresses without embedded credentials can be opened by a click. Check the domain, warnings and expected destination: HTTPS does not guarantee an honest site. QR codes can be used for phishing.
Privacy limits
The tool code does not send or store images or results. Copying is voluntary. Third-party scripts, including advertising, and extensions can read the page; camera permission applies to the origin. Choose temporary access if available. Physical cameras and real Safari have not been tested.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the camera not start?
Click Start and allow access in an HTTPS context. Denied permission, an absent or busy camera can prevent reading. Close other applications or import an image.
Is a decoded link safe?
No. Warnings flag non-printing or bidirectional characters, credentials and punycode domains, without proving a link harmless. Nothing opens automatically; other schemes remain text.
What happens with Wi-Fi codes or phone numbers?
The reader distinguishes recognised structured content. Wi-Fi passwords are masked, with separate reveal and copy actions. Email and phone content can be read and copied without launching applications.
Why is no code found?
Try a sharper image, move the code closer or improve lighting. Each analysis is limited to three seconds; the camera stops after 60 seconds without a result. Inverted QR codes are supported without a guarantee for every image.
