Local generation and its limits

The QR code is created in your browser; this tool’s code does not send or store what you enter. As on any web page, third-party scripts, including advertising, and browser extensions can technically read what is displayed. A Wi-Fi QR code contains the network password: only share it with people you trust.

How to use it

Choose Text, URL, Wi-Fi, Email or Phone, complete the fields and click Generate. Edits update the preview. Check it, then download by clicking.

Wi-Fi and privacy

Personal WPA/WPA2 and WPA3 use the T:WPA format; the phone reader must support the network. Open and hidden networks are available; WEP is excluded. The password is masked in the form but readable by anyone receiving the QR code.

Correction, colours and formats

Correction M is the default; L, Q and H change damage tolerance and density. Keep a light background, a dark foreground and the quiet margin. PNG: 128 to 1,024 px; SVG: a vector image. Test the printed size with your readers.

Browser processing

The tool code does not send or store your content. Third-party scripts, including advertising, and extensions can technically read the page: avoid sensitive secrets. Downloads are copies you need to protect.

Frequently asked questions

Does the QR code expire?

The image has no expiry or redirect service. URLs and Wi-Fi credentials may still stop working.

Which format should I download?

PNG suits screens and fixed-size documents. SVG stays sharp when resized. Preserve the quiet margin and check readability on the final medium.

Does a Wi-Fi QR code hide the password?

No. Masking only protects the form display. The password can be recovered from the QR code: share it only with authorised people.

Why is my content rejected?

Field limits, syntax and QR capacity are checked. Long content with high correction may exceed capacity; shorten the content instead of expecting automatic truncation.
